MedQuiry

A tool that evaluates the rigor of a medical study in seconds, for med students, researchers and clinicians. We gave the brand a simple redesign for launch, built the icons behind its ratings, and set up an AI demo so people could try it on their own time.

The situation

A new product for people trained to question everything they read, including the tools that help them read it. Going into launch, the brand needed to look as rigorous as the scores it produces.

What we did

A simple, disciplined redesign of the brand, iconography that makes each rating readable at a glance, and an AI-guided demo set up with PeekinDuck.ai.

Where it stands

Launched, with a brand that looks like it belongs in a journal club rather than an app store, and a demo that lets prospects see the product without waiting for a call.

01  /  The problem

An audience trained to doubt.

Med students, researchers and clinicians spend their careers learning to spot weak methods and overstated claims. A tool that promises to judge study rigor gets judged by the same eye.

If the brand looks careless, the score looks careless. MedQuiry needed to earn trust from people whose job is to withhold it.

02  /  The brand

Look like the method, not the marketing.

The redesign was deliberately simple: a mark and type system with the discipline of good research, and a voice that explains rather than promises.

It had to work for three audiences at once, from a student checking a paper for class to a clinician weighing evidence for a patient, so it stays clear and direct everywhere it appears.

03  /  The ratings

A score you can read before you read it.

MedQuiry’s output is a rating of evidence strength, and a number alone asks the reader to remember what it means. We designed iconography for the rating system so each level, high, moderate and low, is recognizable at a glance through its own badge and color.

The badges carry the brand into the product itself, so every score a user sees looks like it came from the same place.

The evidence strength ratings.

A tool that measures rigor has to show some.

04  /  The demo

Let people try it on their own time.

Researchers and clinicians do not want to book a sales call to see whether a tool works. Working with PeekinDuck.ai, we set up an AI-guided demo that walks a prospect through MedQuiry whenever they are ready, and tells the team who is interested.

Your turn.

If this reads like the position you are in, the conversation is short and the first thing we bring is a point of view, not a questionnaire.
