Fractional CMO

Most first marketing leaders are asked to do strategy and execution. Almost nobody can do both well.

Hiring a marketing leader is a coinflip on whether the person can both think clearly about the business and ship campaigns this month. Fractional is how you get the brain — without forcing one person to do two jobs at the same time.

How we work

We think upstream, run interference downstream, and build the team you’ll eventually hire.

The work is hands-on strategy: positioning, customer economics, channel mix, hiring plan, board readiness. It’s also management of vendors, agencies, and internal contributors so execution happens without breaking strategy. And it’s preparing the role for the full-time hire who will eventually own it.

We’re not interested in being permanent. The fractional model is built to make us replaceable — by an in-house leader who inherits a system that actually works.

What changes in 90 days

Five things that didn’t exist before.

  • A marketing operating model — what’s owned, by whom, in what cadence.
  • Customer economics baseline so every decision can be defended.
  • Quarterly roadmap mapped to business goals, not channel goals.
  • Vendor and contributor management so execution actually ships.
  • A hiring plan for when you’re ready to own this internally.
